I know Sim Settlements 2 has only been out a few days, so I'm just wondering what mods are working and not working with it. I even grabbed two of the add-on packs for it. So, it sounds like Sim Settlements 2 is exactly what I want. Then I start branching out to the southeast. First, by making Sanctuary a nice place to live again, and then by adding the other settlements nearby (pretty much the entire northwest corner of the map). I like the idea of the Sole Survivor accepting that their son is dead, and instead building a legacy in the Commonwealth. You have to go a bit further to fully unlock Curie's affinity/perk, unfortunately, so usually I just skip her (and all the headache that is 'Hole in the Wall'). I usually rescue Nick Valentine, but that's about where I stop. After doing all the endings, I just don't care about the main story of Fallout 4 anymore. I have the most fun rebuilding the Commonwealth. 'Sim Settlements' seems like the perfect mod for me. Would this interfere with Sim Settlements? It seems to have its own perk/unlockables tree (seen in the trailer and on the site). I use a mod, 'Creative Perks', that changes many of the vanilla perks. And what about 'Place Everywhere'? I assume that's more of a "just don't use it" rather than "you have to uninstall it," but I want to be safe. Not sure about height, but for example Sanctuary includes the bridge and pretty much all the 'island', and Red Rocket includes a lot of the wooded area north of the road as well, and the mole rat den to the south (not the interior cell, obviously). What about scrapping and border mods? I use 'Scrap Everything' and 'All Settlements Extended' - ASE widens the borders, so you can build 'out' more. I would assume any mod that touches settlements should be taken right out of the load order, since the feature where you assign a city leader is going to assume the settlement is 100% vanilla. It would be easier than getting into what little I know.

So, while I know a couple things, we could just pretend I'm completely new to Sim Settlements. I always liked the idea of Sim Settlements, but after the first couple expansions to the first one (Industrial Revolution and Rise of the Commonwealth) I gave up on it.
